A Turn of the Tides for Insomnia

This is kind of old news, but I have been busy and just now getting around to posting it. Better late then never.

The time has come, the tides have turned for Insomnia as a guild. We have decided to make a change in direction and turn Insomnia from a raiding guild into more of a friend/casual guild.

This was not an easy decision, as we have worked hard to come from a guild that could barley do a heroic, to a guild that made large strides in 25man raiding.

These days most members have gone their own way, some have joined different raiding guilds, others have decided to just stay casual.

The website will remain online until April of 2009. At that point, I will probably keep the domain name, but not renew the hosting, so feel free to stop by and say hi until then.

I would like to say though, I respect each and every member of insomnia, we had our quirks, but it was fun, and we got the shit done when we needed to.

It was a pleasure and an honor.

Insomnia Goes Fishing, and bags a big one!!

Insomnia takes the plunge into T5 content and takes down the Lurker Below.

It was a great effort by all, after some pratice time getting the strat down, after only 3 attempts, the 4th brings this big fish down.

Im proud of each and every one of you. Keep watching the site for more kills to come.

Insomnia takes down it's first 25man bosses as a full guild!!

On Sunday 05-18-08, Insomnia took down High King, Gruul, and Magtheradon as a full guild only run!!

Since I fail at taking screenshots, il get some this week when we go again and post them on the forums.

I expect to see many more bosses take a fall in the near future.

Id also like to thank some of the highly skilled people from Quantum who merged with us to make this happen. We are happy to have you guys as part of the Insomnia family.

Guild Update & Wrath of the Litch King News!!!

Just a few updates from the home front. We have gained a bunch of new people over the past week, and almost have enough to start doing 25man raiding by ourselvs. I know lots in the guild are excited for it.

Lately we have been getting out 25man raid fix with another small guild called quantum, great group of people who know how to have some fun, but also know how to get serious and get stuff done when necessary.

New Insomnia Guild Website Goes Live!!

After a few setbacks, the new site is now live.

The old main page is now collecting dust in a backup folder, and the old forums have been deactivated.

I will get links up to the ARP and killshots page in the next few days

Most everything should be working. You can login to the site using the link at the top of the page using your forum login. That should log you into the new content management system (which is highly changeable) and the new forums.

All user rights and posts and junk like that were converted over last night, so there shouldnt be anything missing. You will need to re-modify your forum signatures, and forum avitars as they were removed in the forum conversion. If you cant find the old forum avitar you used and you dont have another copy, just lemme know and il pull it off the old forums.

The new forums dont seem to mesh well with the automatic login cookies on the old forums, so you may get a login error. Clear the history and cashe out of your webrowser and try it agian.
